Nashville!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tennessee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Bat cave (AT&T building) in Nashville.

Nashville Skyline is the title of a Bob Dylan album

so here's some of it.

Downtown Nashville. We're got your bars right
here! Lots of music coming from everywhere...
every bar!!! Live music starts at 11 in the morning. Tootsie's Orchid Bar. Everyone winds up

here sometime. A small narrow bar, they had a

band downstairs and one upstairs. The musicians

play for tips. Country Music Hall of Fame.

Webb Pierces's custom Caddie. Note the guns.

Even the door handle was a gun.

A small portion of the gold records. They have a

record library vault that has thousands of records

and one that has hundreds of guitars. The legendary RCA Recording Studio B

where Elvis cut some of his first RCA tracks.

This is Loretta Lynn's house located between Nashville and Memphis

Kentucky!!!!!

Standing in front of the Louisville Slugger
factory. A great tour and we got a free
little bat!

We love Kentucky.. at least what we've seen of it. We know we love Louisville!!!
What a kool "artsy-fartsy" town. What a kick.

Me and Junior - Ken Griffey Jr.
Ichiro and his records
Me and Ted Williams
Me and the "Babe"
This is a really weird mirror.
Notice the jazz windows. This part of downtown Louisville is
a lot like Pioneer Square in Seattle. Lots of old funky buildings,
interesting stores and restaurants and only a couple of blocks
from the water. In this case the very large Ohio River.
We're having fun but we're really missing our family and friends.
Every day when the phone rings the "star wars theme" telling us that Lulu is calling, we both run to the phone. Thank goodness for our Lulu who keeps intouch with us. We miss them alot. The time difference is difficult sometimes. We always try to imagine what's happening at home.
It will be nice being back with family and friends. We're on to Nashville and then to Dallas. Which will be fun too. After a New Mexico job, we'll be hi-tailing back home.

Wilmington, Ohio

We stopped for a few days at a 100 trails resort in Wilmington, Ohio so Steve could work on his book that has to be released in July.
It really is a nice park. Thunderbird in Monroe thought they had to mow alot, Wilmington has acres of mowed lawns!! It's beautiful but I keep reminding myself that winters are very cold and lots of snow! We had an Ohio thunder storm for about 15 minutes. Steve hasn't been in one. It rains inches and lightening is very close.... very exciting! It's warm and sunny again.

Last day in Cleveland area.

With Aunt Betty (actually Paul Bainbridge's aunt)
at her house near Cleveland. She was our tour guide.
Notice the ribs. Yum!

One of the ribs sellers. These guys are serious!

These are just SOME of the trophies these guys won.
Steve and Betty did their best to taste all of the ribs in the Rib Cook Off
at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds that we camped at in Berea.
We're definitely going to be there next year!

Cleveland Ohio area.

Our tour guide - Aunt Betty. A historian and retired teacher.

On the Lake Erie shore.

The main reason for coming to Cleveland was to visit with Aunt Betty.
I used to live in Rocky River while working at Boeing with NASA. (1992-94) so I wanted to show Steve where I lived. Betty went with us to Huntingon Beach on Lake Erie. We ate Walleye at Phat Joes, an old firehouse.Steve took a picture of the elevator shaft with firemen. (fake of course)
We went to Canton to see the Football Hall of Fame
Betty and the Browns

Us and the Seahawks
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Spectacular and fabulous.
The R&R HOF is right on Lake Erie. I was there on opening day in 1994. (along with alot of other people...hee)
Me "flying" simulator at NASA.
Betty took us to the Amish country. Lots of wagons on the road. Here's a farmer.
An Amish school house

Amish Country
Not an Amish guy!!!
